Machine Support

PTMW, Inc is currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Machine Support our Pre-Fabrication (PFAB) team. The Machine Support will be responsible for loading and unloading metal cutting machines, staging raw materials for cutting, and finishing metal parts by removing sharp edges, burrs, or excess material left over from the machining process. Our PFAB team works 12 hour shifts with two day shifts-6:00am-6:00pm, and two night shifts-6:00pm-6:00am. Please do not apply for this position if you are not willing to work a 12 hour shift.

- Utilize powered industrial trucks including forklifts and walk-behind/lift assist to move raw materials and finished parts to and from specific machines.

- Inspect machined parts to identify areas requiring deburring, grinding, or polishing.

- Use hand tools such as files, sanders, grinders, and deburring knives to remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material.

- Perform visual inspections and use measuring tools to verify part dimensions and surface finishes.

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficiency and safety.

- Collaborate with machinists and other team members to optimize production processes and achieve production targets.

Required:

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

- Capable of lifting up to 75lbs

- Ability to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical capacity test and breath alcohol test.

Preferred:

- Prior experience operating a fork lift.

- Prior experience as a deburrer or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

- Physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle repetitive tasks and operate hand tools effectively.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
