Junior Recruiter - 12 to 18 Month Maternity Leave Coverage

Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd is currently hiring a Junior Recruiter for our Acheson, AB branch for a12 to 18-month maternity leave coverage.

Techmation works on a variety of Industrial Construction and Maintenance projects throughout Western Canada.

As a Junior Recruiter you will be responsible for:

- Helping to develop recruiting strategies in order to identify qualified candidates through various recruiting tools

- Evaluating candidate skills compared to job requirements through screening and interviewing

- Complete necessary pre-employment processes such as reference and background checks, scheduling drug/alcohol/medical testing and verifying required certifications

- Schedule candidates for testing, safety certifications, orientations, and other employment requirements

- Recruit for multiple positions and locations at one time

- Maintaining the Applicant Tracking Systems with up to date information

- Assisting Corporate Recruiter, hiring managers, and candidates to streamline the hiring process

- Build and maintain relationships with post secondary institutions and universities for recruitment of new graduates

- Organize and attend career and job fairs/other recruiting related training

- Work closely with management to ensure up to date manpower needs are being met

- Design, administer and monitor advertising through various avenues such as print, social media, job boards, and radio

Qualifications:

- Have a relevant HR degree, OR at least 6 months related recruiting/HR experience would be considered an asset

- Those with specific trades recruitment experience, such as electrical and instrumentation, would be considered an asset

- Also willing to accept applicants with no previous recruitment experience, but with an eagerness to learn the recruitment industry

- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills

- Must have good phone etiquette and the ability to speak with active and passive candidates

- Excellent time management skills

- Prior experience working with an Applicant Tracking System is an asset (currently use AcquireTM)

- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook

- Must have the ability to work independently and take initiative
