About This Job

WBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a IT Infrastructure Consultant - Telecom Asset Management in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the Milwaukee office.

This position is part of a job family (Associate IT Infrastructure Consultant, IT Infrastructure Consultant, and Senior IT Infrastructure Consultant) where experience will be the determining factor.

Job Summary

The IT Infrastructure Consultant works to support the company’s IT vendor and asset management. They act as an IT liaison for new and existing telecom asset contracts that include the purchase of technology assets. Aligns with IT and business unit leaders on telecom asset hardware and software purchases, adjustments and terminations. Provides vendor and asset management support for telecommunications and voice/wired systems. This role also gets involved in IT budgeting, cost analysis, vendor analysis and responding to technology audits.


Job Responsibilities

- Manage telecom asset optimizations (data pools, overages, zero usage suspend/disconnects, billing disputes) for air cards, tablets, smart phones, mobile hotspots (MiFi), modems, pagers, cellular analog phone adapters, smart hubs and routers.

- Drive accuracy of asset data via reporting, bulk updates and process improvements.

- Provide vendor and asset management services for agreements, contracts and technology purchases.

- Provide support for telecom asset audits, compliance tracking and compliance reporting.


Minimum Qualifications


- Bachelor's Degree


Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant degree

- Vendor management experience

- Fundamental understanding of software licensing and contract procurement for hardware and software

- IT Financial Management knowledge


End Date: 05/13/2026


Pay Range Minimum: $68,436.68


Pay Range Maximum: $135,761.08

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
