Position Overview
The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining the core technology infrastructure across all corporate and warehousing locations. This role supports both on?premises and cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft 365 administration, networking, security controls, and multi?site connectivity. The engineer will work proactively to ensure system uptime, network reliability, and secure operations while serving as a primary escalation point for the IT Service Desk. The Infrastructure Engineer works closely with IT leadership and cross functional teams to support business operations, manufacturing environments, and health related systems.
Essential Duties
Operational Support & Escalations
- Serve as primary IT service desk ticket escalation for issues related to networking, systems, M365 administration and critical incidents.
- Assist IT service desk technicians with on?site network, PC, printer, and peripheral issues across corporate and warehouse environments.
- Perform network troubleshooting, root?cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Support endpoint environments, including limited Mac OS administration and troubleshooting.
- Act as the primary Microsoft 365 administrator.
- Manage Microsoft Azure/AWS resources, security controls, virtualized services, and identity integrations.
- Perform on-prem server patching, firmware upgrades, and scheduled maintenance for Windows Server environments.
- Execute network equipment moves, adds, changes, and new deployments.
- Manage multi?site VPN and SD?WAN technologies.
- Deploy and support Meraki firewalls (or similar vendor technologies).
- Deploy and support Aruba network switches, access points, cameras, etc. (or similar vendor technologies)
- Administer and monitor cloud networking platforms such as HPE Aruba Central, Meraki, and Cisco.
- Coordinate with ISPs and cabling partners for network installations and troubleshooting.
- Implement security controls, protocols, and hardening standards.
- Perform PC vulnerability management, remediation, and patch governance.
- Monitor critical system alerts, network events, and infrastructure health with appropriate triage and escalation.
- Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Support structured cabling including fiber/copper termination, labeling, and testing.
- Assist with door access systems, security cameras, and alarm system integrations.
- Assist with infrastructure and Security projects including system upgrades, network refreshes, cloud implementations, and security initiatives.
- Coordinate with onsite vendors and service providers to support infrastructure solutions.
- Perform other duties assigned by IT leadership.- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, network administration, or a related role.
- Preferred 2- or 4-year college degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Strong hands-on Microsoft 365 administration experience.
- Experience with infrastructure implementations and Change Management
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure implementation and administration.
- Strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting on-prem Windows Server environments.
- Strong hands-on with implementing and supporting Microsoft Hyper-V or related virtualization platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with implementing and supporting networking hardware including firewalls, switching, wireless, and VPN technologies.
- Strong hands-on experience with disaster recovery procedures and technologies with both on-prem and cloud resources.
- Hands-on experience with cloud?managed networking platforms such as Aruba Central, Meraki, or Cisco.
- Strong understanding of best security practices for cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and networking issues.
- Experience with structured cabling, door access systems, and security cameras systems.
- Experience with multi?site VPN and SD?WAN solutions.
- Experience supporting Mac OS environments is a plus.
- Experience working in health products, manufacturing, or regulated environment is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (Azure, AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL or networking) are a plus.
- Periodic travel required to support company facilities as needed.
