The Utility Service Agency (USA) is hiring a Inside Sales Representative. An energetic, proactive, self-starter to drive sales for 3-4 product lines.

The Utility Service Agency, Inc. is a manufacturers' representative company for the electric utility industry. We specialize in tools and materials for the transmission, substation, distribution, fiber optic and lighting markets. We represent approximately 25 manufacturers for the Carolinas, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Southern New Jersey, and Florida. Job functions:

- Develop, manage, and execute a sales strategy for 3-5 product lines that captures the available market. We do this with Territory Managers (TMs) and principals to execute the strategy.

- Own the quote, order, and commission process.

- Attain and deliver quotes in a timely fashion.

- Understand what information is needed to produce a complete, competitive quote.

- Track quotes, orders, and deliveries to ensure principles have competitive market knowledge.

- Know how to seek alternative, winning solutions.

- Process Orders

- Ensure orders are transferred to principles in a timely fashion.

- Ensure customers are notified of delivery changes.

- Ensure quote and order data is precise so that internal reports and trends are accurate.

- Maintain and organize historical and active files.

- Ensure correct commissions are received.

- Identify and develop relationships to grow sales with key distributors, customers, and factories.

- Communicate USA sales and needs with key factory contacts such that both companies’ needs are met and addressed.

- Manage warranty returns. Ensure product issues are addressed and necessary communications occur between factories, distributors, and customers.

- Track and verify opportunities.


Skills and traits needed:

- Bachelor’s degree.

- Industry experience is valued.

- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and be an efficient typist.

- Must be a proactive, forward-thinking, self-starter.

- Must be a good communicator and have strong interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational skills.


Expectations:

- Work in-person from office in historic Wake Forest, NC.

- Report to Manager of Operations.


Compensation:

- Base salary paid twice a month .

- Annual bonus (40% individual, 40% company performance, 20% teamwork).

- Employee sponsored pension and profit-sharing program, does have a vesting period.

- Historically been 20% of salary and bonus, 100% contributed by company.

- Medical for individual (Blue Cross, Blue Shield PPO)

- 20 days PTO per calendar year.

Salary


$80,000 - $80,000 per year
