Job Summary
Repair, install, adjust and maintain ball mills, crushers, vertical mills, belt conveyors and all plant stationary equipment. Operate forklifts, small and large hydraulic cranes, shop equipment, hand tools, welding equipment and complete preventative maintenance inspections. - Wear all required safety equipment including but not limited to steel toed boots, hardhats, safety glasses, safety harness, ear plugs, dust masks and gloves
- Ascend and descend stairs and ladders, climb up and above, inside and under equipment
- Able to bend, kneel, twist in confined spaces and awkward positions for extended periods
- Lift up to 100 lbs properly
- No fear of heights up to 460 ft
- Use electrical and air tools, such as large grinders, drills of all sizes, chipping guns, knocker wrenches, small jackhammer, large jack hammer (up to 20 pound sledge hammer)
- Handle large impacts 2" plus, some dual man operations
- Mechanical and maintenance experience required, ball mills, crushers, vertical mills and belt conveyors preferred
- Welding experience preferred
- Furnish own hand tool as per provided tool list
- Able to read and understand basic blue prints preferred
- Able to read and write for log and record keeping
- Able to complete training requirements and assume the role of Welder/Maintenance Utilityperson II within a reasonable amount of time
- Maintain a valid driver license

- Maintain V-belt, chain and belt drive equipment in an efficient operating condition at all times
- Inspect machinery and equipment for defects, dismantle, re-assemble, make necessary repairs, install replacements and parts
- Use dollies, hoists, winches, rollers, and trucks to aid in moving and unloading equipment, set and use rigging to handle tools and equipment
- Oil, grease. and clean equipment and machinery to complete repair job
- Maintain work areas and equipment in good condition at all times
- Conduct equipment pre and post checks and report any conditions that need attention to supervisor
- Operate equipment and vehicles in a safe, responsible manner
- Operate shop equipment to complete assigned projects
