Tri-County Water is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of water distribution infrastructure. This position focuses on pipeline construction and water tap installations. Candidates must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Experience in utility construction or mechanical trades is preferred. CDL is a plus.
- Install and repair water distribution pipelines, including trenching, and pipe laying.
- Perform water tap installations, service connections, and tie-ins to existing mains.
- Locate utilities and support safe excavation practices.
- Assist with leak repairs and general system maintenance.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment.
- Shoveling is most of the work done in this job.
- Follow all safety procedures, including trench safety standards.
- Respond to on-call Employees and respond to emergencies as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in pipeline or utility construction preferred.
- Basic knowledge of water distribution systems and pipe installation practices.
- Ability to read maps or basic construction drawings.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or ability to obtain.
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work.
- Drivers License check and extensive background check will be done pre employment
