We are seeking an experienced and dedicated High Voltage Project Manager to oversee complex electrical utility projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a strong background in high-voltage systems, including transmission, distribution, or substation projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. Must have the ability to work with integrity and maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Lead all phases of substation projects, from estimating and bidding to budgeting, scheduling, and project close-out.
- Manage up to 12 personnel across 4 active projects at a time.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, internal teams, and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project goals.
- Manage project finances, including cost forecasting, invoicing, and change order processing.
- Increase contract amount via change orders.
- Develop comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, and risk management strategies.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards, including OSHA 1910.269 and NFPA 70E.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, as well as the management of subcontractors.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, including field crews, engineers, and support staff.
- Review project documentation, drawings, and reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct on-site visits to monitor project progress and address any issues.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Candidate must be able to meet the following requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of industry codes, safety regulations, and construction methods for high-voltage systems.
- Deep knowledge of the principles of HV systems.
- Strong judgment and discretion with confidential information.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Capable of lifting, bending, light stocking, and prolonged sitting/standing.
- Ability to guide, motivate, and provide direction to a project team, including engineers, field crews, and subcontractors.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Typing speed 40+ WPM.Applicant must pass proficiency tests for typing, math and Excel before being considered for interview.
