Financial Controller

Job Title: Plant Accountant / Controller Location: Monett, Mo Employment Type: Full-Time | Exempt Industry: Manufacturing

We’re seeking a skilled Plant Accountant / Controller to oversee the financial operations of our manufacturing facility. This role is key to ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and strategic financial guidance for the leadership team. Key Responsibilities:

- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes

- Prepare and analyze financial statements and performance reports

- Oversee accounts payable, receivables, and vendor payment processes

- Manage chart of accounts, bank reconciliations, and cash applications

- Analyze manufacturing costs, overhead, and G&A expenses

- Recommend cost-saving measures and operational improvements

- Ensure compliance with federal/provincial reporting and tax filings

- Supervise and reconcile physical inventory counts

- Handle confidential financial and customer data with discretion

- Perform additional tasks as needed

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience)

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365; Epicor experience is a plus

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer

- Frequent walking or standing; occasional lifting up to 10 lbs

- Must be able to work in hot, cold, or loud environments as needed

- Availability for overtime or weekend work

- Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) may be required

Work Environment:

Primarily indoors within a manufacturing facility.
