We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.

Rogers Group is currently seeking an Estimator/Project Manager for our Alabama Operations Area located in Huntsville, Alabama. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence.

Job Responsibilities

- Active participation in company safety program, values, policies, and strategic plan.

- Prepares bid packages, estimates, analysis of subcontractor bids, etc. for commercial and municipality projects.

- Reviews plans, specifications, contract documents and attend pre-bid meetings to understand requirements for accurate bid preparation.

- Ability to coordinate multiple activities and groups of work teams to produce maximum project efficiency.

- Communicate and maintain positive working relationships with owners, engineers, architects, customers, and internal team members to develop bid packages, manage projects and resolve operational issues.

- Analyzes project cost, and pricing information for preparation of bids, construction subcontracts and project management.

- Directly monitor job progress, status of project estimates, invoicing and subcontractors to ensure proper constructability, completion and close-out of projects.

- Create and maintain accurate forecast as it relates to job cost and margin from conception to completion of projects.

- Perform additional tasks and duties as necessary assigned by manager.


Job Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field is preferred.

- 5+years of experience in estimating, project management and supervision.

- Knowledge of asphalt paving, grading/drainage and utility work.

- Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.

- Proven sales, negotiation, and customer relations skills.

- Ability to utilize software tools at a proficient skill level (Microsoft Suite, HCSS Heavy Bid, HCSS Heavy Job, AGTEK, Blue Beam, and Bid Tabs).

- Excellent time management and delegation skills.

- Proven record of being a self-starter and able to work under limited supervision.
