Estimator / Project Manager

Job Summary

Colossal Structural Steel is a steel fabricator and erector in the Coachella Valley is seeking a dynamic project hunter and detail-oriented Estimator / Project Manager to join our team and drive successful construction projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing detailed bids, and work with management to ensure timely delivery within budget. Your expertise in construction estimating, project management, and contract negotiation will be vital in securing new business opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex projects, coordinate with diverse teams, and contribute to the growth of a forward-thinking construction firm.

Responsibilities

- Look for structural steel projects.

- Prepare comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.

- Develop detailed project budgets, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs, ensuring accurate pricing and cost control.

- Lead negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms while fostering collaborative relationships.

- Oversee project planning and scheduling to align with client expectations and company standards.

- Manage contract administration by reviewing agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards, and tracking project progress.

- Monitor project performance through regular site visits, cost tracking, and progress reports to ensure adherence to budget and timeline.

- Collaborate with construction management teams on site to resolve issues promptly and maintain quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in construction estimating and project management within the construction industry.

- Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and cost control strategies.

- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and vendors.

- Construction site experience that provides insight into on-the-ground realities affecting project costs and schedules.

- Familiarity with construction management practices, safety protocols, and contract administration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
