Curtis Powerworks is a growing family owned and operated company. Looking to build on 35 years of experience in the powerline field. As Utility Construction Estimator/ Project Manager, you will apply your expert knowledge of construction costs to develop complete and accurate cost estimates. Strong working knowledge of all project phases including conceptual and schematic drawings to a detailed final bid estimate is required. The Utility Construction Estimator/ Project Manager must also have the capability to develop, evaluate, compile and present scope of work and cost data for construction bids. Additionally, strong management skills will be required to keep track of jobs in progress and work with Field Personnel to keep projects on track including budgets and timelines.
Construction Estimator/ Project Manager Requirements & Skills

- 3+ years of experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects, 3+ years of estimation experience required (High Voltage Systems preferred)- Experience in estimation with Civil, Structural and High Voltage Systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication presentation skills are a must
- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Prepare a budget based on the scope of work and resource requirements
- Track project costs in order to meet budget
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
