We're seeking an electronics-focused diagnostic technician with advanced troubleshooting capabilities to repair and maintain complex electronic systems. This role requires expertise in component and board-level diagnostics, with specialized knowledge in switching power supplies, high-voltage electronics, and digital systems including FPGAs and microprocessors.
- Perform advanced electronics troubleshooting and repair at component and board levels
- Diagnose and resolve issues with switching power supplies, high-voltage electronics, and digital systems
- Analyze failures independently using schematics and electrical measurements
- Document repairs and maintain accurate service records
- Identify when mechanical issues might compromise electronic components and escalate appropriately
Use diagnostic software tools for system recovery, configuration, and verification
- Advanced electronics troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities
- Hands-on experience with switching power supplies (SMPS), including PWM control and protection faults
- Proficiency in high-voltage electronics and HV multipliers
- Expertise with FPGAs, microprocessors, ADC and DAC conversions
- Ability to use computer-based diagnostic tools and software
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
- Proven experience in electronics repair and diagnostics
- Working knowledge of Warrior software for tool diagnostics and configuration
Basic understanding of mechanical systems as they relate to electronics protection
- Wireline tool experience
- Experience with pulsed neutron or radiation-controlled tools
- Oil & gas service or manufacturing environment background
IPC certifications (J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721)
Travel Requirement: Up to 10% domestic and potentially international travel
