Repair & Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Repair & Maintenance Technician at Weatherford, you'll perform hands-on maintenance and repair of field tools and equipment. You'll be responsible for the complete maintenance cycle - from receiving tools, dismantling, repairing, and refurbishing them according to technical specifications to prepare them for their next assignment.

- Participate in daily safety meetings and promptly report any issues

- Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas in safe condition

- Repair and maintain tools and equipment using precision measuring instruments and testing devices

- Inspect parts using measuring tools to determine dimensional requirements

- Follow maintenance procedures for tool handling: unloading, disassembly, cleaning, testing, painting, assembly, and storage

- Complete all required documentation and work orders accurately

- Operate lifting equipment, forklifts, and other machinery safely (certification required)

- Process incoming and outgoing shipments with proper documentation

- Support LEAN initiatives and continuous improvement programs

- Lead maintenance teams and troubleshoot complex equipment issues

- Implement corrective actions and ensure compliance with procedures

- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures

- Schedule and distribute work assignments

- Evaluate quality and efficiency of work being performed

Qualifications

- High school diploma

- 2 -4 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry

- Basic computer skills

- Basic mathematics skills

- Ability to work with hazardous materials safely

- Good reading, writing, and problem-solving skills

- Physical capability to perform required tasks

- Time management and quality control skills

Work Environment

You'll work in a workshop environment handling tools and equipment, sometimes working with hazardous materials, radioactive elements, under strict safety protocols.
