The Director, Recruiting is pivotal in driving the sales of strategic resource staffing and supporting project team needs of managed scope services. The Director, Recruiting leads our recruitment efforts for temporary and project-based roles across various departments and clients. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in high-volume recruitment and a passion for finding the right talent to meet the dynamic needs of our organization. Leveraging AI-enabled tools to enhance sourcing efficiency, candidate matching, workforce insights, and recruiter productivity. This position reports directly to the President, Client Solutions.
Overseeing and enhancing our recruitment strategies for contingent technical staffing – this demands a deep understanding of technical roles, an adeptness in rapid sourcing and hiring processes, and a proficiency in building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams, clients and candidates.
This is a player-coach role in which the Director will personally carry a requisition load and directly recruit for priority, complex, or hard-to-fill technical positions while leading the recruiting team.
The Director of Recruiting leverages data-driven insights and AI-enabled recruiting technologies to improve speed, quality, and scalability of contingent staffing solutions while maintaining a high-touch candidate and client experience.
- Design and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies using labor market analytics, AI-powered sourcing tools, and workforce data to meet anticipated staffing needs.
- Utilize predictive analytics and market intelligence tools to assess talent availability, compensation trends, and hiring risks.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize recruitment strategies using performance dashboards, AI-assisted reporting, and hiring funnel insights.
- Personally execute targeted sourcing and recruiting efforts for high-priority, niche, or time-sensitive technical roles to ensure speed and quality of delivery.
- Lead the adoption and effective use of AI-assisted recruiting tools to improve recruiter productivity, sourcing accuracy, and candidate engagement.
- Coach and develop recruiters on best practices for responsible AI usage, including prompt-based sourcing, resume screening tools, and candidate communication support.
- Promote continuous improvement by evaluating emerging recruiting technologies and integrating those that align with business needs.
- Lead by example by actively recruiting alongside the team, demonstrating best practices in sourcing, screening, candidate engagement, and requisition management.
- Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to translate data-driven hiring insights and AI-supported talent intelligence into actionable staffing strategies.
- Use market data and AI-supported analysis to set realistic hiring expectations, timelines, and talent availability forecasts with clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates and field employees/contractors through both personal recruiting activity and team oversight to enhance talent acquisition efforts.
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process for contingent roles, from sourcing and screening to interviewing and offer negotiation.
- Directly manage a portfolio of open requisitions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation for assigned roles.
- Ensure a smooth candidate experience that reflects positively on the company’s brand and values.
- Maintain and manage Bullhorn candidate database accurately and efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in recruitment, with at least 2 years in a managerial role focused on contingent or temporary staffing.
- Proven track record of personally filling technical or engineering roles while leading recruiting teams (player-coach experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to and lead the adoption of technology-enabled recruiting tools, including AI-supported platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple recruitment projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of recruitment techniques and tools, including ATS platforms (e.g., Bullhorn), CRM systems, and AI-enabled sourcing and screening technologies.
- Experience using recruiting analytics, market intelligence tools, or AI-assisted reporting to inform hiring decisions.
- Familiarity with responsible AI use in talent acquisition, including data privacy, compliance, and bias mitigation.
