Design Engineer

· Evaluate customer drawings.

· Work with management for tooling projects.

· Research and implement new ideas on existing jobs.

· Provide drawings/concepts as needed.

· Generate new or modify existing parts, assemblies, and drawings that will be used in fabricating products for customers.

· Process improvement.

· Aid/assist in the assembly of design products.

· Work with management to improve low-profit jobs.

· Troubleshoot issues associated with design projects.

· Stay within budget as set by management.

· Contact vendors to get information on design components.

· All other items as assigned.

Experience & Education:

Required: High School Diploma.

Preferred: Associate of Applied Science, Mechanical Engineering Technology Degree.

Core Competencies:

- Preferred background in CAD design/drafting

- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes

- Basic fundamental knowledge of typical engineering materials

- Familiarity with typical measurement/inspection equipment

- Solid computer skills

- Ability to work independently and follow standardized procedures

- Strong mathematical aptitude

- Ability to multi-task a must

Compensation based on experience!

New Hire Bonus - $250 at 6 months, $500 at 1 year!
