Job Description

A Design Engineer is responsible for completing the following duties:

- Coordinate product design and development for equipment used in processing bulk material and aggregates

- Design and detail custom conveying equipment

- Perform design analysis for components

- Create detail drawings

- Complete bills of material

- Evaluate and implement design changes

- Other duties as assigned

Compensation

- The starting pay range for this position is $65,000 to $90,000 per year. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or related education

- Thorough understanding of:

- Drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerances

- Mechanical power relationships such as horse power, torque, speed, ratios

- Shaft, bearing, and power transmission design and analysis

- Strengths of materials and structural analysis

- ASD steel design code

- Training and/or experience in using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
