Position Overview

Reed City Glass Enterprises, LLC is seeking dependable and motivated Laborers to assist with the installation of commercial windows, doors, storefronts, and related glazing systems. This position is ideal for individuals who are reliable, safety‑minded, and interested in building a career in the commercial construction and glazing industry. Laborers work under the direction of a Lead Installer or Foreman and play a key role in job site preparation, material handling, and installation support.

Pay

Hourly Pay: $20 to $28 per hour, based on experience

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Overtime: Paid in accordance with state and federal law

Work Schedule & Hours

Typical Hours (Summer): Monday–Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Typical Hours (Winter): Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Overtime: May be required depending on project schedule and distance

Full time employment

Job Responsibilities

- Assist with installation of commercial windows, doors, storefronts, curtain wall, and related systems

- Load, unload, and transport glass, frames, and materials safely

- Prepare worksites, including staging materials and protecting finished surfaces

- Use hand tools and power tools under supervision

- Hold, align, and secure materials during installation

- Maintain a clean and organized job site

- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements

- Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members

Required Qualifications

- Ability to lift 50–100 lbs with assistance

- Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding

- Reliable transportation to shop or job site

- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

- Strong work ethic and positive attitude

- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team

Preferred (But Not Required) Qualifications

- Prior experience in construction, glazing, windows, or doors

- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools

- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

- Experience operating lifts or forklifts (training may be provided)

Physical Requirements

- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling

- Standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods

- Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination
