CNC Setup/Operator (2 YRS EXP REQ)

We currently have an opportunity available for a 1st shift CNC Setup/Operator.

Our facility is temperature controlled / air conditioned.

Essential Duties include:

- Operate CNC machines, mills, grinders, and wood lathes used in chisel and mallet production.

- Perform basic machine setups, touch-offs, and tooling adjustments.

- Identify and install appropriate tooling for each job; understand tool life and wear.

- Run multiple machines simultaneously while maintaining product quality.

- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy.

- Follow production schedules and meet daily output goals.

- Inspect parts in process using gauges and inspection equipment according to procedures, specifications, and requirements.

- Maintain acceptable attendance.

- Observe good housekeeping practices and safety habits.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

- 2+ years operation and set-up of CNC machines (mills and lathes and rotary indexers)

- Experience with Fusion 360 CAM programming

- Experience with G-code editing and troubleshooting

- Experience with workholding, tooling selection and process optimization

- Basic computer skills

- Possess mechanical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to read blueprints, understand GD&T code, use gauges, and use inspection equipment (e.g. , micrometers, calipers, indicators) to check parts in process

- Ability to perform basic math (e.g. Decimal, fractional, geometric, metric to standard conversions)

- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Effective time management skills

- Self-motivated and willing to learn at a fast pace

- Positive, team-oriented attitude is a must
