Job Summary
We are a small family owned job shop that is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components according to work instructions and drawing specifications. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with various machining tools and equipment. The CNC Machinist will play a crucial role in ensuring product quality and efficiency in our manufacturing processes.
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines and lathes to fabricate parts according to program outlines and engineering drawings.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints, applying GD&T principles as necessary.
- Perform routine inspection on parts and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during machining processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Utilize inspection equipment such as calipers, height gages, micrometers etc. to ensure parts adhere to drawing specifications.
- Utilize saws to cut raw stock
- Deburr and clean parts after machining processes.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating milling machines, lathes, and other hand tools.
- Familiarity with programming CNC machines is a plus.
- Knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
