DK International Associates is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator Level II to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce precision parts and equipment according to specifications.
- Set up, and operate various CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) independently
- Read and interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
- Perform complex mathematical calculations to determine machine setup requirements
- Select and install appropriate tooling for each job
- Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on CNC equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine malfunctions
- Train and mentor Level I operators
- Maintain detailed production records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school certificate preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating CNC machinery
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Capable knowledge of CNC programming and G-code, with an emphasis on Mazak CNC equipment.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software
- Demonstrated ability to use measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Work overtime as needed to meet customer deadlines.
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision
- Visual acuity to inspect detailed work
- Manufacturing floor environment
- Exposure to machine noise and vibration
- May require shift work, including evenings or weekends
- Climate-controlled facility
- PPE required (safety glasses, steel-toed boots, etc.)
