CNC Machine Operator

X-Cel Technologies is looking for an entry-level CNC Machine Operator to use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions.

CNC Machine Operators are skilled professionals, able to work with great precision. The goal is to produce high quality parts, ranging in materials, by programming machines to perform the right operations. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are essential. This position will include a 6-week training program in which the individual selected will be trained in different departments of the company that teach a variety of skillsets needed of a CNC machine operator.

Job Responsibilities

- Will have the opportunity to learn several different types of CNC machines

- Load and unload bars of material correctly on machine

- Monitor the operation to ensure quality standards are met throughout the production process

- Quality Control - Take measurements and inspect material; will learn to use various inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, depth gauges, etc.

- Understand and follow specifications of task by reading blueprints & work instructions

- Perform routine maintenance on machine and maintain a clean work area

- Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations as well as OSHA

Qualifications

- Mechanical aptitude

- A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach

- Good communication abilities

- High school diploma or equivalent
