Temporary CNC Machine Operator

Position Overview

Jack West CNC Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator for a short-term assignment lasting approximately 1 to 2 weeks. This role has the potential to turn into a long-term opportunity for the right candidate.

This position is ideal for individuals with basic machining knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced machine shop environment.

Primary Responsibilities

- Operate CNC milling and/or turning machines safely and efficiently

- Touch off tools and make minor offsets as needed

- Read and interpret basic mechanical drawings

- Follow written setup sheets and verbal instructions from supervisors

- Load and unload parts and materials

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Follow all shop safety and quality procedures

Required Skills & Abilities

- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions carefully

- Strong attention to detail and quality

- Basic understanding of machining practices

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience & Tools

- Prior machine shop or CNC experience is helpful but not required

- Familiarity with common shop tools and measuring instruments is advised but not required

- Training will be provided for the right candidate

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand for extended periods

- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation

Schedule

- Two shift options available: AM or PM

- Flexible hours depending on production needs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.90 - $23.00 per hour
