The Support and Development Center provide services to Agnico Eagle's various Canadian and / or international mining operations in a variety of areas, including administration, financial services, IT, supply chain, human resources, communications, construction as well as technical services (geology, engineering, metallurgy, infrastructure, marketing, innovation, and digital transformation).
Reporting to the Business Applications Manager, you will be part of the Corporate Applications & Development Services (CADS) department. You will be responsible for ensuring the operational integrity, security, and performance of critical business application systems across all sites. You will combine technical leadership, team coordination, and strategic oversight to maintain system reliability, support upgrades, and enable smooth integration of new solutions. You will also provide visibility across the organization’s application landscape, offering insight into operational dependencies and strategic priorities. You will ensure that objectives are met while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, the health and safety code of conduct and the environment.
- Oversee a team of System Administrators and Business Applications Specialists
- Direct the team in managing application ecosystems
- Foster collaboration and continuous improvement within the team
- Oversee security and system administration for all business application systems
- Ensure compliance with SOX and ITGC standards, acting as a key liaison for audits and control evidence
- Ensure Operational Integrity
- Maintain critical business applications across multiple sites
- Monitor system health and proactively identify and address operational and compliance risks
- Manage Upgrade and Integrations
- Coordinate major upgrade activities and ensure readiness for integration with other systems
- Participate in decision-making for installations, upgrades, and new software implementations
- Troubleshoot and make continuous improvement
- Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Drive enhancements to improve system performance and user experience
- Prepare and maintain system documentation for future reference
- Align processes with ITIL principles and organizational governance frameworks
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related; equivalent experience will be considered
- 7 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in a similar environment
- Deep knowledge of application architecture, systems analysis and design, development methodologies, installation and maintenance of applications and user acceptance testing and end-user training
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage priorities under pressure in production-driven environments.
- Proven leadership and team motivation capabilities
- Proficiency in the use of the English language as you will be working in collaboration with other Agnico Eagle sites where English is the primary language
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday.
- Workplace: Possibility to work in one of Agnico Eagle's offices closer to your residence in Rouyn-Noranda, Val-d'Or, Mirabel or Toronto. There is a possibility to have a hybrid work schedule, working some days from an Agnico Eagle office and some days in telecommuting.
