Job Description Summary
The Agile ITR Steam Turbine Technical Leader (Agile ST TL) will act as an Agile team focal point in the Steam Turbine technology space, globally, for Agile Conversions, Modification and Uprates (CM&Us) Services projects throughout the lifecycle starting from customer inquiry to customer order through outage execution.
The Agile ST TL will manage escalations, drive operational excellence and provide technical training and oversight to the Agile ST ITR Engineers. They will also be responsible for developing and sustainable rollout of continuous improvement initiatives. The Agile ST TL will also expect to be a key player in developing connections with interfacing organizations like ST Design Engineering, Materials Management and Sales to ensure Agile team is developing value for our customers in a growing marketspace.
The Agile ST TL will also participate in broader Agile continuous improvement exercises and be a key driver to KPI excellence for the Agile team. To succeed, the Agile ST TL must interact actively with other teams such as Design Engineering, Sales, Project Management, Field Services and Supply chain.
Job Description Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as Point of Contact to all interfacing teams (commercial operations, sales, sourcing, project management, regional application engineering) for ITR related matters for the Agile Upgrade team in Steam Turbine Technology space for assigned Opportunities and Projects.
- Provide technical guidance and/or review of work to individual ITR engineers in the team. Manage escalations from internal and external customers.
- Have a clear understanding of team workload and organize assignments to balance this workload while continuing to develop the team’s technical expertise.
- Identify process gaps and development improvement plans (in coordination with Agile leadership team) to address these.
- Good understanding of how to integrate with other teams in a matrixed organization and contribute to the needs of the business.
- Resolves issues in situations that using system level thinking, good technical knowledge and judgment within establish procedures providing positive customer outcomes.
- Developing connections with interfacing organizations like ST Design Engineering, Materials Management and Sales to ensure Agile team is developing value for our customers in a growing marketspace.
- Responsible for developing and sustainable rollout of continuous improvement initiatives within the ST Agile team. Actively participate in Agile global and HDS ITR continuous improvement as required/assigned.- This role requires advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Customer Project Engineering. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience) with 5+ years of experience.
- Deep heavy duty Steam Turbine technology knowledge
- Deep understanding of Agile and CMU OTR processes and procedures
- Ability and desire to identify and implement continuous process improvements.
- Capable of coaching others to accomplish assignments.
- Experience and demonstrated success working in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong customer focus mindset
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
