Section 1 – Position Summary
This position is responsible for performing secretarial and clerical duties essential to the efficient operation of the office. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical in this position. Position requires periodic travel to Wylie office for clerical support on an as-needed basis.
Section 2 – Major Responsibilities
1. Responsible for preparation of general correspondence, spreadsheets, forms, labels, etc.
2. Prepares various reports as assigned.
3. Maintains correspondence and up-to-date files and records.
4. Answers telephone and takes messages.
5. Distributes incoming mail and prepares outgoing correspondence and packages.
6. Arranges for meetings including organizing material, reserving room and coordinating amenities.
7. May be asked to record minutes for meetings.
8. Scanning and filing of documents.
Section 3 – Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
1. This position requires typing at a minimum of 60 wpm.
2. Position requires ability to organize data using Microsoft Word, Excel and other software applications.
3. This position requires the ability to calculate, compute, summate, and/or tabulate data and/or information.
4. Requires ability to track and process critical correspondence including payments in a timely manner.
Section 4 – Education and Experience
1. Three years previous clerical experience.
2. Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
Section 5 – Environmental Factors, Activity Levels and Equipment
This position requires minimum physical exertion with daily lifting requirements up to 10 pounds. Significant finger dexterity required. Activities may include carrying office materials, pulling and pushing file drawers and organizing paperwork. Duties are almost always carried out in an office environment. Equipment utilized includes a network computer system and/or a personal computer, various printers, calculators, copier and telephone.
