Position Description

This position is responsible for creating and maintaining ownership decks, processing ownership transfers, proposing subsequent operations, drafting Assignments, and conducting leasehold acreage reviews.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Conduct leasehold ownership reviews prior to well recompletions, plugging wells, and acreage trades.

- Conducts extensive analysis and interpretation of the provisions of Leases, Contracts, Deeds, Assignments, and Title Opinions to determine ownership.

- Process transfers, propose workovers to industry partners, revise DOI Decks after payouts, and conduct shut-in reviews

- Preparing Assignments, Joint Operating Agreements, Letter Agreements and Wellbore Farmout Agreements.

- Setup Division of Interest Decks in computer software (Quorum)

- Coordinate with Revenue and JIB Accounting to process ownership changes based on completed document analysis.

- Proficient in calculating and verifying all ownership interests.

- Interact with owners, district landmen, and attorneys to clarify and resolve ownership issues.

Position Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree and 1 to 3 years of Landman experience or other industry related experience.

- Experience or knowledge of New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma real estate property law.

- Proficient in Quorum software or a similar oil and gas software system.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel and Word.

- Ability to multitask and shift priorities readily.

- Ability to work with others, take direction from supervisors, focus attention on details and follow work rules.
