Project Manager (Landman) – Title & Acquisition Management

We are seeking an exceptionally detail-driven Project Manager to lead and oversee complex oil and gas title review and acquisition initiatives across multiple projects. - Direct and oversee full-cycle oil and gas title review, including chain of title analysis, mineral and leasehold ownership verification, encumbrance review, and defect identification
- Ensure title standards are applied consistently and rigorously across all projects
- Coordinate curative strategies and monitor resolution through closing
- Maintain impeccable title documentation and reporting standards
- Lead land acquisition projects from initial planning through execution and close
- Develop and manage project timelines, deliverables, and workflows for internal teams and third-party vendors
- Oversee leasing, purchasing, and due diligence activities to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for project accuracy, completeness, and readiness
- Manage, mentor, and review the work of landmen, title analysts, and acquisition teams
- Conduct detailed quality assurance reviews to ensure work meets the highest professional and legal standards
- Implement best practices, checklists, and process controls to eliminate errors and inconsistencies
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders- 10+ years of oil and gas land experience, with significant exposure to both title examination and acquisitions
- Proven experience managing multi-project land programs or large-scale title initiatives
- Deep understanding of oil and gas title, mineral ownership, leasing, and curative processes
- Exceptional attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to identify issues others may overlook
- Highly organized, process-driven, and deadline-focused
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with land management systems, title software, and reporting tools
- CPL or equivalent professional designation preferred, but not required
- Meticulous and exacting in work product and documentation
- Consistently thorough, organized, and prepared
