Our growing, privately held construction company is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Manager to support the Controller, General Manager and CEO. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounts receivable and accounts payable, along with new customer underwriting experience. Also, the ideal candidate will have managerial experience leading a team, high attention to detail, and excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders. Opportunity for growth.
Position: Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Manager
Type: Full-time
Location: Lemont, IL - onsite
Pay range: $83,000-$87,000
Responsibilities for this position:
General:
•Oversight accounts receivable and accounts payable teams.
•Lead the teams and summarize areas of concern for weekly meetings with the Controller and CEO
•Review processes and procedures and providing suggested improvements where appropriate.
Accounts Receivable:
•Supervising team to ensure collection of cash in a timely manner, management of aged receivables and limit the company’s exposure to bad debt across multiple entities.
•Building customer relationships.
•Assisting the team during busy periods.
•Ensure all accounts operate within their credit.
•Reviewing and approving credit limits for new customers.
•Regular reporting to Controller and CEO.
Accounts Payable:

•Supervising a team to ensure all tasks are carried out correctly and on time including the processing of invoices and payment runs.
•Ensuring correct general ledger coding of invoices.
•Assisting the team during busy periods.
•Ensuring new supplier accounts are set up correctly ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
Qualifications and skills:
•4+ years’ experience leading and developing an accounts receivable team
•Previous experience with underwriting of new customers
•Self-starter with strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
•Ability to be ‘hands-on’ and work as a team player
•Demonstrated accuracy and meeting deadlines.
•Excellent communication skills, both writing and verbal
•Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets.
•Demonstrated successful use of technology to improve process efficiency.
•Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
