ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE & PAYABLE CLERK IN OFFICE POSITION
Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 8:30am-5:00pm
Friday- 8:30am-4:40pm
Wage Range: $50,000 - $60,000

Scope of Role:
The Accounts Receivable & Payable Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records related to incoming and outgoing payments. This dual-role position ensures timely billing, collection of receivables, and processing of vendor payments, contributing to the smooth financial operation of the company.
Qualifications
•College or University completion in a related field.
•4+ years of experience in an AR/AP or full-cycle accounting role.
•Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
•Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
•Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable (AR):
•Generate and issue customer invoices in a timely manner.
•Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
•Apply customer payments and reconcile accounts.
•Communicate with internal departments and customers regarding billing issues or discrepancies.
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
Accounts Payable (AP):
•Review, verify, and enter supplier/vendor invoices.
•Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices for accuracy.
•Process payments via cheques, EFTs, or other payment methods within terms.
•Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
•Maintain vendor records and ensure timely communication regarding payments.
General Duties:
•Assist with month-end/year-end closing procedures and account reconciliations.
•Maintain organized and thorough records for audit and internal control purposes.
•Support other finance department team members as needed.
•Be back up to finance team members during vacations and planned/unplanned absences.
•Other duties and administrative tasks as assigned.
