Welder

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled welder with 3–5 years of experience in metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding processes, shop drawings, and safety practices. This role involves performing high-quality welds on various materials including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Position is night shift. Monday-Thursday night 4pm-2:30am. OT required.

$3.00 hour shift differential pay.

Duties

- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols

- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding as required

- Fabricate, assemble, and weld metal components according to specifications

- Set up and operate welding equipment and fabrication machinery

- Inspect completed welds and structures to ensure quality and compliance

- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines

- Follow all company safety guidelines and OSHA regulations

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

- 3–5 years of hands-on welding experience in a fabrication environment

- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding (Stick welding is a plus)

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols

- Strong knowledge of metal types, thicknesses, and behavior under heat

- Familiarity with grinders, torches, plasma cutters, and other tools

- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship

- AWS Certification preferred but not required

- High school diploma or GED required, trade school or vocational training a plus

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly

- Stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions throughout the shift

- Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to heat, sparks, and metal particles

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
