Use Tig welding equipment and fixtures to repair turbine subcomponents. Must be able to use pneumatic, electrical and hand tools to prep areas to be welded, blend welded areas back to original contours, and perform minor assembly and disassembly. Will be working with specialty materials.

- Read and interpret work instructions provided.
- Use or learn to use measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauge and measuring tape.
- Prep and weld common steels, alloys, joints and geometry.
- Manufacture jigs, chills, argon backups, etc. to do their job.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience PLUS 5 years’ experience TIG welding of super-alloys.
- All potential new hires for this level must pass a weld test for GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) in 1G horizontal.
- All plate weld coupons are subject to CWI inspection, and bend test before any applicant can be hired. All level 2 coupons are standard carbon 304 Stainless Steel 3/8” thickness in all positions.
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
- Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Must have good hand to eye coordination.
- Knowledge of Exotic metals or super-alloys
- Must be able to pay attention to detail.
- Must know how to use pneumatic grinding tools.
- Must know how to weld/prep their parts.
- Must know how to blend contours.
- Use basic hand tools for disassembly/assembly.
- Able to work under limited supervision.
- Awareness of EHS policy and able to interpret EHS warnings.
- Must show a commitment to results and continuous improvement
