Welder

At JW Hicks, we are looking for talented individuals to join our growing team in Knox, Indiana. Currently we are looking to add a welder. We have a passion for producing the best refractory products on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right."

Welder Job Responsibilities

- Weld and fabricate products as indicated on mechanical drawings

- Operate cutting tools and grinders to prepare components

- Maintain raw material and product identification and record data into ERP system

- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and work in progress

Welder Qualifications

- 1 year welding experience

- Mechanical and mathematical aptitude

- Ability to use precision measuring tools

- Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout shift

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to employment

This is a Monday-Friday, day shift position with some overtime available on Saturdays. If you are looking for steady, year around employment and have a good work history, we would love to hear from you.
