Job Summary

United Mechanical & Metal Fabricators, Inc. is seeking a skilled and reliable Welder to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing welding and fabrication work according to engineering drawings and production requirements. This role requires attention to detail, strong workmanship, and the ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform welding on metal components using MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes

- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints

- Inspect welds to ensure quality and structural integrity

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

- Follow company safety procedures and manufacturing standards

- Collaborate with production and engineering teams when necessary

Qualifications

- Previous welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

- Familiarity with stainless steel, carbon steel, alluminum and sheet metal fabrication

- Strong attention to detail and workmanship

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience welding stainless steel (e.g., 304)

- Experience with thin gauge materials

- Basic fabrication and fitting experience

- Welding certification is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
