Sure Shot Environmental Ltd. is a fast-growing vegetation management company based in Central Alberta, providing vegetation services to utility and municipal clients across the province.
We’re looking for a certified Utility Tree Trimmer who takes pride in doing things right—the first time and every time. If you’re someone who values working with a professional, tight-knit crew, being trusted to do meaningful work, and being rewarded for your effort, we want to meet you.
What you’ll do:
You’ll be working on the front lines of utility right-of-way vegetation management—removing hazard trees, clearing brush, and maintaining safe clearances to ensure power continues flowing safely and reliably.
For the 2026 season, this position will primarily support vegetation management work across east-central Alberta, with project areas including:
- Ervick
- Bruderheim
Work takes place along rural electrical distribution corridors, across agricultural land, shelterbelts, hamlets, and small communities.
For candidates living in the general area (Camrose), many workdays may allow you to return home at night. However, some travel and hotel stays will still be required depending on the specific project and crew location at the time.
- A team that genuinely supports each other—because we’re small enough that every person matters
- Flexibility in scheduling and time off—because we know life doesn’t only happen on weekends
- A company that invests in innovation—our data mapping tools cut down paperwork so you can focus on the field
- A $600/year PPE allowance
- Competitive benefits and a company-paid living-out allowance (plus hotel costs) for road work
- A commitment to your career growth—we support ISA certification, participation in industry events, and ongoing development.
- Alberta UTT/UTW certification (or equivalent)
- Background in forestry, arboriculture, or environmental fieldwork
- Valid Class 5 license with Airbrakes and a clean driving record
- Safety tickets: Standard First Aid w/ CPR, CSTS
- Strong tree ID skills and a commitment to safe, efficient work
- Organized, self-directed, and able to lead or follow as needed
Whether you’ve been trimming trees for years or you’re early in your utility vegetation career, if you’re ready to join a company where you can actually make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
