Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tool and Die Repairman to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining die casting machines to produce high-quality metal components. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety standards, and precise craftsmanship. - Set up and operate die casting machines, ensuring proper calibration and alignment for optimal performance
- Monitor machine operations throughout the production cycle, adjusting parameters as needed to maintain quality standards
- Conduct routine inspections of molds, tooling, and equipment to identify wear or potential issues
- Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensional accuracy
- Maintain detailed documentation of production runs, machine maintenance, and quality checks
- Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues with machines, coordinating with maintenance teams for repairs
- Assist in the setup of auxiliary equipment including CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, and press brake machines when required
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating die casting machinery and related equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and welding tools
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards
- Ability to perform basic math calculations essential for precise measurements and adjustments in machining processes
- Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques including sheet metal work, tooling setup, and assembly processes
- Experience with CNC programming and operation for laser cutting, plasma cutting, or machining tasks is a plus
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to crane operation, forklift handling, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and other manufacturing equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical or technical issues efficiently
- Strong attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment
