POSITION TITLE: TOOL AND DIE MAKER (Wrico WI)

I. GENERAL INFORMATION:

Department: Tool Room

Location: Shop

Position Status: Non-Exempt

Position reports to: Tool Room Supervisor

Positions supervises: None

II. POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Build and repair tool for press use.

III. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (essential and other functions)

1. Make from simple, non-complex forming and semi permanent dies.

2. Perform from simple to complex layout work and jig boring.

3. Follow special job instructions as communicated by supervisor or lead person and as on job card.

4. Keep work area clean and free of hazards.

5. Notify supervisor (or lead person) immediately of problems, concerns, or questions you may have.

6. Active involvement in promoting and maintaining a safe work environment.

7. Comply with all Company policies.

8. Other duties as needed to help ensure smooth flow of work process.

IV. REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Knowledge:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Must have strong working knowledge of shop math.

Must have basic machining skills.

Must be able to interpret blueprints.

2. Skills/abilities/aptitudes:

Blueprint reading and interpreting skills.

Basic machining skills.

Team player willing to do whatever is necessary to help ensure smooth flow of tool room process.

Able and willing to wear all necessary PPE.

Able to read English as required for interpreting job cards and prints.

Safety and quality minded.

Self-motivated, takes initiative.

3. Experience:

Press room experience strongly preferred.

V. WORKING CONDITIONS

1. Fast-paced, job shop and fabrication business.

2. Noise, dust, dirt.

3. PPE required

4. Possible overtime.

VI. LEVEL

1. Works under minimal supervision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
