The Equitas team has decades of experience providing field support to oil and gas exploration and production companies, mineral acquisition companies, trust services, law firms, financial institutions, and renewable energy companies.

Our team is currently seeking to fill an immediate opening for a well-rounded Contract Field Landman. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to continue growing their knowledge as a Landman, stay up to date with current industry laws and regulations, and be a self-motivated professional committed to the growth of our team.

Job Description

Equitas is seeking candidates for the role of Acquisition Agent. This position will work closely with multiple departments to facilitate the acquisition of assets in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should possess excellent negotiation, organizational, and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

- Negotiate and acquire oil and gas leases, mineral rights, working interests, renewable leases, and surface parcels.

Requirements

- Exceptional negotiation skills

- Highly organized and detail-oriented

- 5+ years of experience as a Field Landman - 2+ years of acquisition experience

- Multi-state and/or multi-basin experience preferred

- Proficient in Microsoft Office software

- Current member of AAPL or willingness to join
