The

Team Manager IV (Desert Operations Control Center)

is responsible for managing and supervising the day-to-day, hands-on, operations of the Colorado River Aqueduct (CRA) conveyance system, power transmission system, and the staff that provide up to 24-hour operation of the associated systems.

What You’ll Do

- You will develop strategies that align daily work with DOCC priorities and long-term organizational goals.

- You’ll lead a focused team responsible for coordinating outages and aqueduct operations across the Colorado River Aqueduct and ensure the work is organized and executed effectively.

- Serve as the leader in ensuring safe and reliable operations, maintaining high standards and compliance with state and Federal standards.

- You’ll stay connected to the work, traveling to district facilities in the desert to tackle challenges firsthand and keep production running smoothly.

- Analyze production data into meaningful insights, utilizing data to guide decisions and strategies.

The Incentive Pay program will be setup to provide a Desert Branch Assignment Premium to qualifying employees as follows:

- 5% for all employees assigned to Gene Camp or Intake.

Schedule:

4/10. Monday through Thursday and/or Tuesday through Friday: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

Travel:

This position will require travel to various District facilities throughout the service area, sometimes requiring overnight stay in the project area.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience:

Any combination of education and experience equaling 8 years of increasingly responsible experience, of which 3 years must have been in a project management, supervisory or lead position. An example of a combination of education and experience would be:

A high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate and 8 years of increasingly responsible experience, of which 3 years must have been in a project management, supervisory or lead position;

OR

An associate’s degree from an accredited college or technical school and 6 years of increasingly responsible experience, of which 3 years must have been a project management, supervisory or lead position;

OR

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 4 years of increasingly responsible experience, of which 3 years must have been in a project management, supervisory or lead position.

Increasingly Responsible (Relevant) Experience is defined as:

Experience operating, maintaining, and assessing mechanical systems OR similar large industrial equipment in facilities such as water treatment, water distribution, power, petroleum, or waste treatment.

Certifications, Licenses, And Registration Requirements

License(s)/Certifications Required:

- Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (Required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.

- T2 Water Treatment Operator Certification - issued by the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) (Required at time of application)

- D2 Water Distribution Operator Certification – issued by the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) (Must be obtained within 18-24 months from hire date)

- Must obtain High Voltage Switching certification (Must be obtained within 12-18 months from hire date)
