Located in Calvert, 35 miles north of Mobile, Alabama, our state-of-the-art steel processing facility has the capacity to process 5.3 million tons of high-value steel grades in the North America market. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The Talent Partner will support talent acquisition goals that align with the organization’s mission, through cross-collaboration with internal teams, leadership, external organizations, and community resources to recruit, assess, hire, and retain top-tier candidates. The Talent Partner will utilize talent tracking platforms and tools, as well as proactively exploring and engaging with additional sourcing opportunities to improve diverse candidate flow. The Talent Partner will also support workforce development initiatives and engage in brand awareness events and activities.



The Basics:

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, communications, or related field strongly preferred but will consider experience in lieu of degree

- Two years’ minimum experience in full life cycle of talent acquisition process, which includes job description development, posting, interviewing, extending offers, initiating screening steps, and onboarding new hires

- Experience meeting high-volume recruitment goals

- Experience using applicant tracking systems

- Brand promotion, community engagement, event planning and facilitation experience

- Familiarity with recruiting KPI metrics (key performance indicators)

- Intermediate or higher capabilities using Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)

- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and networking skills

- Experience giving presentations and creating reports



The Extras:

- Experience with recruitment in the manufacturing industry preferred

- Workforce development experience a plus

- Process improvement and data analytics experience preferred

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

- Regularly update requisition statuses in team-shared platform for visibility into recruiting efforts; ensure frequent communication with talent leadership and hiring managers

- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the recruiting process for assigned requisitions (sourcing and interview processes, recruiting databases, website & job board postings, career fairs, social media recruitment, screening processes, onboarding the candidate)

- Support the strategic talent acquisition plan for hiring technical professionals, which includes contract, hourly and/or salaried roles, such as maintenance, engineer, and administration positions

- Support department restructures and transition processes for internal position moves

- Cultivate positive and constructive relationships internal and external to the company

- Maintain regular engagement with external recruitment agencies as a resource for talent sourcing

- Facilitate and engage in campus recruitment activities as assigned

- Meet the recruitment metrics goals, as outlined by leadership

- Support workforce development program initiatives to build a robust long-term ROI candidate pipeline through networking, attending industry events, such as participating in external advisory councils, as well as supporting community education and program partnerships, ranging from K-12 through other technical and university relationships

- Partner with the Communications and HR teams on various projects

- Operate in continuous improvement mindset to propose updates to talent policies, practices, and processes

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Office setting

- Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL

- Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
