About the Position Warner Norcross + Judd is seeking a Talent Development Assistant to join our Talent Development team in Grand Rapids. This role will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Talent Development department, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of the department. The Talent Development Assistant will assist by providing administrative support in all areas of talent development including attorney and paralegal ("timekeeper") recruiting, the Timekeeper performance evaluation process, firm member training and mentoring programs, firm-wide DEI initiatives, and event planning. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others succeed in their careers, enjoys variety in their day-to-day responsibilities, and thrives as part of a team.
- Administers the performance evaluation process for Timekeepers by maintaining updated evaluation forms and review materials, assigning, tracking, reviewing, and distributing evaluation data, as well as scheduling performance review meetings
- Coordinates Timekeeper interviews, including developing interview schedules, distributing position-related resources, sending calendar invitations, and collecting feedback through post-interview surveys
- Supports the coordination of events, trainings, and meetings, including the Firm's annual retreats for associates, paralegals, and summer associates; firm-wide professional development programs; and internal and external DEI-related initiatives
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date resources and data related to recruiting, training, and Timekeeper performance expectations, including generating and distributing regular reports to support departmental insights and decision-making
- Oversees the new attorney bar review and admission process for the Firm
- Maintains a well-organized and efficient filing system for recruiting and talent development materials, ensuring easy access and up-to-date documentation

- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required
- Degree and previous experience in human resources is highly preferred
- Experience in an office environment or administrative support role preferred
- Experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS), learning management system (LMS), and/or performance management software preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and Zoom.
- Proficiency with ATS, LMS, and performance management software.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Must display a customer service focus and have a desire to provide an outstanding firm member experience.
