Based out of Calgary, Longhorn Geomatics is an emerging leader in the land surveying service sector providing services to the Oil and Gas Industry. With this in mind, we seek highly motivated, performance driven personnel who are looking to contribute on a higher level for the following positions:

- CAD Operator/Plan Checker (Oilfield Survey Drafting)

Position Requirements:

- Preferred 5 years’ Oil and Gas drafting/checking experience in Survey industry Experience in drafting/checking various oil and gas survey plans including, but not limited to wellsites, pipelines, as-builts, etc. in both surveyed and unsurveyed territory.

- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD

- Ability to work remotely with minimal or no supervision

- Preference will be given to candidates residing in Calgary / Calgary area but applicants from other locations will be considered.

- Experience in both Surveyed and Unsurveyed Territory, along with shape file preperation for AER and One Stop applications

Responsibilities:

As a member of Longhorn’s team you will:

- Work as a member of Longhorn’s production team to produce Oil and Gas related survey plans, such as wellsites, pipelines, as-buits, IOPs, crossings, profiles, legal plans and other industry related drawings.

- On as needed basis participate in other production related tasks, such as job setups, calculations, etc.

- Communicate with project managers and field crews to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.

Experience:

- AutoCAD: 3 years (preferred)

- AutoCAD drafting: 1 year (required)

- oil and gas legal land surveying and drafting: 3 years (required)
