Delta Field Services is expanding our survey operations and seeking a motivated Survey Office Technician to support our growing portfolio of pipeline, utility, and energy-infrastructure projects. This role is central to our commitment to delivering precise, reliable survey data and high-quality mapping for our clients across the nation.
- Process GPS and total-station field data from Delta’s survey crews, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project standards.
- Draft and prepare survey deliverables including, plats, permit and crossing exhibits, boundary and topographic surveys, construction corridor and ROW mapping.
- Manage large coordinate datasets and apply appropriate coordinate systems (State Plane, project grid, ground-to-grid conversions, NAD83 2011, etc.).
- Generate PI/PC reports, stationing tables, and centerline sampling outputs (e.g., 100-ft intervals).
- Review deeds, plats, easements, and ROW documents to support property boundary evaluation and new easement creation.
- Perform QA/QC on all mapping, drawings, linework, and computations before client delivery.
- Maintain and improve Delta’s CAD standards, templates, blocks, and file organization practices.
- Collaborate daily with project managers, field crews, and engineering teams to resolve discrepancies or clarify data needs.
- Support preparation of legal descriptions and project documentation as needed.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (alignments, points, surfaces, feature lines, labeling).
- Experience with survey data processing software using Trimble Business Center
- Strong understanding of coordinate systems, datums, units, and field-to-office workflows.
- Ability to read and interpret plats, deeds, plans, sketches, and engineering drawings.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Previous experience in land surveying, pipeline surveying, or utility mapping preferred.
