SPMO Scheduling Database Administrator

The role involves managing Oracle Primavera P6 databases, focusing on installation, configuration, security, backups, performance tuning, and user support. You will be the bridge between P6 application users and core IT, ensuring data integrity and system availability for project management. Key duties include database health monitoring, tuning for speed, managing access rights, disaster recovery, and assisting users, with strong Oracle/SQL knowledge and Linux/Windows OS skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Database Management: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain P6 databases (Oracle/SQL Server)

- Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance, optimize configurations, and tune for speed.

- Security & Access: Manage user access, set permissions, and implement security policies.

- Backup & Recovery: Develop and execute backup/restore plans, ensuring data recovery.

- User Support: Act as the first point of contact for P6 users, providing training, mentoring, and troubleshooting.

- Documentation: Maintain standards, procedures, and system configurations.

- Collaboration: Work with IT, developers, and Primavera support for seamless operations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Management , or related field

- 7+ Years relevant experience managing P6 Primavera applications and project management scheduling support in the engineering, manufacturing or construction industry. - At least 5+ years' of demonstrated experience in Oracle Database skills (SQL, tuning, backup/recovery, security) plus specific Primavera P6 EPPM knowledge (schema, background jobs, administration guides). Proficiency in scripting (SQL, PL/SQL, Shell) for automation and understanding of P6's complex enterprise structure for project management support.

- Familiarity with scheduling tools related to Earned Value Management or Schedule Risk Analysis like Deltek Cobra or Safran as experienced users.

- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or relevant Oracle Database/Cloud certifications or equivalent are a plus.

- Experience with Oracle RDBMS, including installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, and backup/recovery.

- Experience with the P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) schema, managing P6 databases, understanding background jobs, and general P6 administration tasks.

- Advanced SQL scripting for complex queries, reports, and PL/SQL for automation; strong scripting (e.g. Shell, Python) for efficiency.

- Ability to tune the P6 database (EPPM/PPM) for optimal performance, especially during cleanup and resource-intensive tasks.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 13916 PLN to 17350 PLN per month. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
