Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Manager that will be responsible for overseeing daily shipping and receiving operations, managing Shipping Department staff and inventory, and ensuring timely and accurate product delivery to customers. This position will work with internal teams to coordinate with vendors, carriers and logistics providers, negotiate shipping rates, and handle shipping documentation.

This position is hourly/non-exempt. Hours are Monday-Friday, designated shift. 40 hours minimum, overtime as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures for the department and attend training as assigned
- Perform all regulated paperwork and adhere to all governmental regulations for operations of company vehicles
- Ensures adherence to all ISO, SWP's and related processes, procedures and requirements
- Follow work instructions: routers, travelers, IRR's, adhere to governmental requirements for operations of company vehicles
- Perform quality control checks ensure shipments meet drawing, visual and other specified quality requirements as specified by SWP and other ISO documents
- Proper use and care for all department machines, vehicles, material handling equipment, tooling, gauges and other devices to maintain quality
- Follow proper procedures for documentation of shipments and receiving to ensure work is completed and properly entered into JobBOSS system
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and PM's are being followed
- Maintain departmental housekeeping and SS requirements
- Other general duties as assigned by the Production Manager
- Knowledge of ERP systems specific to Job Boss
- Good communications skills. Ability to communicate problems and solutions to problems. Ability to follow direction and assignments
- Must understand and follow standard and site-specific, job specific and equipment safety practices as outlined in the company safety policy and company handbook
- Must understand and adhere to all ISO processes and procedures for his department
- Must be well versed and trained to operate the equipment in the department assigned
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles. Follow and understand all applicable federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations
- Train to do basic final inspection to back up QC
- Ability to follow driving directions and locate destination points
