Shipping Coordinator – Job Description

YJ HQ Warehouse

Reports To:

Logistics Manager

Schedule:

Monday–Friday 10:00–19:00, with rotating weekends and potential holiday or extended hours during peak seasons.

Position Overview

The Shipping Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of products. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and strong communication across departments. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment and is committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Order Verification:

Review and confirm shipment details to ensure complete and accurate orders are prepared for transport.

- Cross-Department Communication:

Serve as the central liaison between sales, logistics, and warehouse teams to coordinate shipping activities.

- Shipment Planning:

Work closely with the logistics team to schedule and prioritize shipments for on-time delivery.

- Documentation Management:

Prepare and maintain essential shipping documents including bills of lading, packing lists, and manifests.

- Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all shipments meet company policies and regulatory standards.

- Issue Resolution:

Identify and resolve shipping discrepancies or delays with urgency and professionalism.

- ERP Data Entry:

Accurately record shipment and inventory data in the company’s ERP system.

Additional Duties

- Forklift Operation:

Safely operate forklifts to stage and load freight.

- Driver & Vehicle Compliance:

Verify that all drivers and vehicles meet company and regulatory requirements before departure.

- Freight Preparation:

Package and palletize shipments securely and accurately.

- Parcel & LTL Coordination:

Prepare parcel and Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipments for dispatch.

- Other Tasks:

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.

Qualifications

- Proven ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

- Prior experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.

- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and fitness test.
