The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator plays a critical role in managing the flow of materials and products in and out of the facility, ensuring timely and accurate shipment and receipt of goods. This position is responsible for coordinating logistics, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting corrosion control measures to protect sensitive materials during transit and storage. The coordinator will collaborate closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to optimize shipping schedules and resolve any discrepancies or delays. Attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards are essential to prevent damage and maintain compliance with industry regulations. Ultimately, this role ensures that all shipping and receiving operations contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of the supply chain within the United States operations.
- Coordinate and schedule incoming and outgoing shipments to meet production and customer requirements.
- Inspect shipments for damage, verify contents against purchase orders and packing lists, and document any discrepancies.
- Implement and monitor corrosion control procedures to protect materials during storage and transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipment statuses, and receiving logs using warehouse management systems.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to resolve shipping issues and improve logistics processes.
- Pick, pull, pack, and ship products with accuracy within specified time frames
- Verify and keep records of outgoing shipments
- Arrange for transportation of products
- Communicate clearly and effectively at all levels within the company status of shipping activities
- Use quality process to record and report all types of discrepancies to appropriate departments and to customers
- Document new or revised shipping procedures
- Help with returned material process
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior forklift experience loading various types of freight trucks required
- Experience in shipping and receiving operations, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and logistics coordination
- Proficiency with standard office software and warehouse management systems
- Ability to identify problems early and implement solutions
- Excellent time management skills, must be able to juggle multiple tasks while working under pressure of deadlines with frequent interruptions
- Capable of working well in a team environment and as an individual

- Associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Certification in corrosion control or materials protection.
- Experience working with hazardous materials and compliance with safety regulations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a focus on process improvement.
- Familiarity with corrosion control principles as they relate to material handling and storage.

Shipping and receiving coordination skills are essential for managing schedules, verifying shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records, which supports smooth supply chain operations. Hours for this position are typically 8:00 a.m. CST - 5:00 p.m. CST, Monday - Friday, with some mandatory overtime and weekends.
Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
