The Senior Project Manager – Utility Scale PV is responsible to provide effective leadership by managing all aspects of a portfolio of projects including quality, timeliness, and profitability. The Senior Project Manager will take on larger and more complex projects, possess a higher level of experience than peers, and assumes more decision-making responsibilities in daily tasks. Incumbents will manage, collaborate with, train, and provide guidance to other team members and developing Project Managers. Terrasmart Project Management leadership roles are a critical component in the business’s success and generally manage an average of 20 projects at any time, requiring an advanced mastery of project scheduling, budget management, and customer service. This role creates an environment that models and ensures best-in-class level of customer experience, for every project, regardless of size, scope, or geography.

- Own and manage all aspects of projects, schedules, budgets, profitability, procedures, etc. through comprehensive project completion working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams for sales, legal, engineering and production.
- Sets the standard for responsive, timely, and optimistic communication internally and externally regarding project status and reporting.
- Works with EPC Project Managers, and other stakeholders to identify and correct project issues in a timely and cost-effective manner through diligent oversight, independently anticipates concerns and works to provide alternative or precautionary solutions.
- Create a written workflow and manage project from RFQ through comprehensive completion and close out with document delivery to include submittal package of drawings, specifications, manuals, cut sheets and warranty.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to generate project efficiency and generate savings.
- Develop and refine relationships with customers, responsible for providing effective and continuous communication internally and externally regarding project status and reporting to ensure zero unplanned deviations.
- Sales Stage:
- Partners with Sales and Estimating to ensure visibility to project budget pre-contract (Pre-BOM).
- Owns operational translation of contract to internal systems.
- Responsible for identifying, initiating, and owning to recovery, all scope changes via change orders, including pre-BOM.
- Owns the creation, dissemination, and tracking of schedule and timelines; owns and partners with resources to secure subs, logistics, mobilization, materials, and resources.
- Working with the Safety Department, owns and responsible for the project safety plan.
- Continuously identifies and builds risk mitigators back into contract.
- Construction Stage:
- Owns all knowledge of site, project, conditions, percent completions, and situational awareness of day-to-day production, ensuring issues are addressed rapidly.
- Owns inventory control, continuously verifying MRP, and coordinating all site deliveries.
- Manages and coordinates owner/developer meetings and tempo, weekly customer communication, schedule changes, and all invoicing.
- Assist in the oversight of field crew and sub-contractors to ensure adherence to quality, project timelines, and cost.
- Understands impact of all cost adjustments, reflects costs accurately in Epicor for P&L, forecasts, and reports to senior management of any future cost overrun concern.
- Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project including change order logs, submittal logs, etc. and prepare and present project status reports.
- Follow up on all PO deliveries, tracking shipments, and/or missing items.
- Identifies and corrects project issues in a timely and cost-effective manner through diligent oversight, ensuring PO matches quote and BOM.
- Owns the Quality Assurance program, ensuring projects are constructed to drawings, using self-perform and/or contract labor; conducts site visit at least once and depending on size of project.
- Closeout Stage:
- Assure close out and execution of all open change orders.
- Work with accounting to assure complete invoicing to customer; collections of past due if applicable.
- Complete the Demob-checklist including:
- Schedule pick-up of inventory or material.
- Request warranties from legal.
- Generate torque letter.
- Send final documents of project completion to client PM.
- Process, complete and save all Closeout Docs, to include:
- Warranty document with PM countersignature and Legal conformation.
- Substantial Completion Document.
- Warranty Transfer.
- As Built Drawings.
- Project sign off sheet.
- Commissioning Report, if applicable.
- Review all QC items; confirm corrective actions have been performed
- Complete after-action/post-mortem with supporting departments, submit lessons learned.
- Manages and owns conflict resolution as needed with contractors, supporting departments, and all internal and external customers and vendors, escalating problems with solutions to senior leadership for awareness or for major expense decisions as outlined in policy.
- Provides a best-in-class level of customer service to customers/vendors/subcontractors, works with the goal of making Terrasmart the industry leader in customer experience as evidenced by customers requesting the Senior Project Manager by name for future projects.
- All forecasting of revenues and costs is updated daily through continuous monitoring of projects, relaying this information in a comprehensive manner to necessary individuals and departments.
- Demonstrates expertise of the role through development of processes and/or tools that allow project managers to successfully monitor and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Complete all required or directed training, certification, licensing, and other learning and development as assigned.
- Abide by all Federal, State, and local laws; uphold and maintain accountability to all Company policy.

PMP and/or Licensed General Contractor required, OSHA 10 preferred.
Work requires large amounts of time spent using a computer with multiple monitors and performing repetitive movements with head, eyes, hands, and fingers. May occasionally bend or twist at the waist, move while carrying up to 20 lbs. Must be able to read, comprehend, and evaluate written and computerized documents, listen, and communicate to internal and external customers. May occasionally travel long distances requiring a seated or stationary position for long periods while exposed to the public.

Special Work Conditions: Work will primarily take place indoors, in an environmentally controlled area. Incumbent may experience stress in the workplace including, but not limited to customer service complaints, competing priorities of reasonable or high significance, and/or working through the exchange of ideas with others. Will routinely direct the work of others. Will occasionally travel to site locations and projects requiring adherence to site specific Health and Safety Plans due to past or current uses, which includes the wear of PPE and other site-specific clothing requirements. May be directed to work immediately following major storms, natural disasters, and other weather or man-made events that disrupt or endanger business continuity.
