Accord Power Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Origination and Project Management team who is looking to make a sizable impact on the future of renewable energy in the NYC Metro area. The Senior Project Manager will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of solar projects including traditional C&I, carports, PV+ ESS, and more. This individual will report to the Director of Origination and Development. This individual should demonstrate a strong self-starter attitude and acute attention to detail. This individual will be based out of our Flushing, NY office and will be full-time in the office. Our new office location with an estimated move in date of Summer 2026 will be in Long Island City, NY.
- Highly recommended five years in construction project management experience or three years of Solar EPC specific experience working with and leading various engineering, project management, or construction teams on projects valued in excess of $5 million
- Highly recommended proficiency in either Aurora, Helioscope, PVWatts, PVSyst, AutoCAD, or similar PV design platform
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to travel to job sites in the NYC metro area to oversee site walks, coordinate scopes of works with project stakeholders
- Extensive experience working in the commercial and industrial solar industry
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
- Subject matter expert of solar energy systems, technologies, and industry trends
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Electrical, architectural, engineering or finance background is a plus
- Must be comfortable working in the construction industry
- Oversee and lead project management efforts for high profile solar and battery projects (under the guidance of the Director of Development and Origination). Must be comfortable interfacing with General Contractors, Subcontractors, Architects, Engineers, Lendors, Clients, etc. to coordinate trade scope and deliverables. The Senior PM must ensure that their assigned projects are on track and on budget, from origination to close-out. Attention to detail is a must to correctly define scopes of works between trades, document change orders, trouble shoot any potential construction or identify issues as it relates to project reporting or finance.
- Build and maintain daily project schedule, including internal timelines for both clients and the internal construction department. Develop and send meeting notes, memos, or detailed construction reports.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule and budget. The Senior PM is expected to work closely with all of Accord Power Inc’s internal departments to coordinate engineering, permitting, and construction deliverables. The Senior PM is expected to attend weekly standing calls to determine weekly and monthly forecasting and resource planning.
- Collaborate with engineers and design specialists to create efficient and accurate PV designs according to strict NYC standards. The Senior PM should be familiar with NYC DOB codes along with NEC code. This individual should be able to determine construction best practices to determine optimal designs and layouts (in consultation with the Director of Development and Origination). The Senior PM should be able to accurately read and understand construction drawing sets, electrical drawings, MEP plans, structural plans, etc.
- Assist in designing PV layouts in Aurora/CAD and proposal generation.
- Read and understand construction contracts. Should be able to understand typical subcontractor agreements, EPC agreements, AIA contracts, develop Schedule of Values, etc. independently. The Senior PM must understand and adhere to their specific project’s contractual obligations.
