CCI is seeking a high-ownership professional to strengthen the planning discipline and investment management capabilities of our Distributed Energy (DE) business. This role supports annual and quarterly planning, market intelligence, investment evaluation, management reporting, and portfolio governance across a multi-project pipeline. The person in this role will work closely with development, project finance, engineering, project management, and operations teams.
- Support investment evaluation and internal approval processes for new projects and strategic initiatives.
- Build and review financial analyses, business cases, and sensitivity analyses to support investment decision-making.
- Prepare materials for leadership reviews and investment committee discussions.
- Track key assumptions, value drivers, risks, and mitigation actions to improve investment readiness and decision quality.
- Monitor key policy, regulatory, and market developments affecting the DE business and assess their implications for CCI leadership.
- Prepare rapid internal summaries and executive updates on state executive orders, legislation, and regulatory changes relevant to community solar, ESS, and other DE opportunities.
- Translate market and policy developments into actionable development initiatives, and help drive action plans and resource alignment across teams.
- Lead analysis and coordination for new business initiatives such as data center-related opportunities, small gas turbine opportunities, and other adjacent growth areas.
- Track and analyze critical policy and technical issues, including DCA, FEOC, and inverter / racking-related matters.
- Define KPI target and measurement frameworks and coordinate related communication across the team and with corporate planning functions.
- Maintain quarterly KPI trackers and support periodic performance assessment and management review.
- Support bi-annual planning processes, including planning assumptions, milestones, and cross-functional inputs.
- Prepare management updates, dashboards, and executive review materials.
- Support ad hoc business analyses and maintain visibility into major business issues and decisions across teams.
5) Process Innovation, Data Analytics & Reporting
- Support CCI Development Business process improvement initiatives and maintain monthly and quarterly progress trackers for key operational goals.
- Maintain stage-gate pipeline visibility from development to sale, construction, and operations by organizing project status, probability, expected milestones, and key risks in CRM and tracker tools.
- Improve reporting frameworks, templates, and management cadence across the DE business.
- Support process standardization, internal controls, and operating discipline.- 5+ years of experience in investment management, portfolio governance, business operations, or related fields
- Strong analytical skills, including Excel-based analysis, business case development, and structured reporting.
- Strong executive communication skills, including PPT story lining and issue framing.
- High ownership and strong follow-through.
- Able to balance structured planning with practical investment and execution support.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration, discipline, and outcome focus
- Experience in Investment or M&A experience at a consulting firm
- Experience in energy, renewables, distributed energy, ESS, power markets, or project-based infrastructure businesses.
- Familiarity with stage-gate processes, risk management, change control, and project economics.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or reporting automation tools.
